This will be a full day session which will complete both Outdoor 1 and Outdoor 2 requirements (Outdoor Skills 1 will be offered separately on a different day). The day will begin at 9 am at the Brooklyn Scout Cabin and will end around 7 pm at Camp O’ The Hills. Camping with girls in a Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan lodge or cabin is highly recommended before taking this class. Some of the topics that will be covered are advanced cooking methods (over various heat sources), equipment rental, camp/tent care, knots, outdoor etiquette, and health and safety.
