Do your girls want to go camping, but you are not sure what you need to do? No worries! This course will prepare you to lead young or inexperienced Girl Scouts on their first overnight experience. This training is a requirement for your troop to build a fire or stay at a GSHOM property.

Camping with girls in a Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan lodge or cabin is highly recommended before taking this class. Some of the topics that will be covered are advanced cooking methods (over various heat sources), equipment rental, camp/tent care, knots, outdoor etiquette, and health and safety.
